Fender Telecaster 60’s Refinish: Surf Green

The body on this 1965 Tele was in rough shape; it required a large hole to be filled in the bridge pick-up cavity area and several other smaller holes to be filled as well. The top was then leveled and laminated with a plain poplar veneer (before picture) and the body finished in a vintage surf green color nitro finish. The veneering of the top prevents the repairs from telescoping to the finish surface. This is an example of an early Tele saved from the trash bin and now worth some real money.
